Call for Industry Showcase
We invite industry showcase submissions to the Industry Track of The ACM Web Conference 2027. The track welcomes interactive showcases from industrial practitioners and researchers that showcase innovative systems, applications, and technologies developed in industrial environments. Submissions should highlight the technological or research aspects of the work, demonstrate clear industry relevance, and identify practical challenges, insights, or impact arising from real-world tasks and settings.
The Industry Showcases must be based on implemented and tested systems and should enable conference attendees to explore the demonstrated work through hands-on interaction and discussion. We welcome both deployed systems and ongoing industry projects. Where applicable, submissions should describe whether and for how long the system has been deployed or released, and should clearly explain how the showcase will be instantiated and presented at the conference.
Important Dates
- Submission deadline: 7 December 2026 (AoE)
- Notification to authors: 4 January 2027 (AoE)
- The Web Conference 2027: 10–14 May 2027, Dublin, Ireland
All submission deadlines are end-of-day Anywhere on Earth (AoE) time.
Submission Guidelines
Industry Showcase submissions should be led by companies, industrial research groups, or industry–academia collaborations. University researchers are welcome to participate as co-authors.
Each submission should provide the following information:
- Showcase title;
- Authors’ names, affiliations, and email addresses;
- On-site presenter’s name and email address;
- An abstract of approximately 500 words describing the system or technology, its practical setting, main contribution, and proposed showcase experience;
- A one-minute showcase video for review purposes.
The abstract should clearly explain what the system does, what is innovative about it, and how it will be demonstrated to conference attendees. Industry Showcases are expected to align with one or more relevant topics of The Web Conference 2027 covered in the Call for Research Track Papers.
At least one author must be committed to present the showcase on-site at the conference. Submissions without an on-site presenter will not be accepted and will be removed from the industry program. Authors should also indicate any equipment or other resources required for their showcases.
Submission and Review
Submissions will be collected through an online submission form. All authors’ email addresses should be provided so that the organisers can communicate with the entire author team.
Industry Showcase submissions will be reviewed by the industry co-chairs and the committee based on originality, innovation, applicability, potential benefit, and relevance to the Web Conference audience. The showcase video will be used as REQUIRED supplementary material during the review process.
Submission system: Microsoft CMT – Industry Showcase
The Microsoft CMT service was used for managing the peer-reviewing process for this conference. This service was provided for free by Microsoft and they bore all expenses, including costs for Azure cloud services as well as for software development and support.
Industry Showcase Presentation
Accepted industry showcases will be presented on-site at The Web Conference 2027. At least one author must register for the conference and present their industry showcase in person. If no author is available for the on-site presentation, the submission will be rejected or withdrawn.
Each showcase will be provided with a standard presentation space, table, and access to electrical power, subject to venue arrangements. Any additional equipment, shipping, delivery, and maintenance will be the responsibility of the participants.
